Mobiata charity event

I just wrote tens of lines in Chinese, but I didn't feel right about something... So~

I couldn't wait to meet the team, so Ben kindly invited to to this charity event in the office.

This is the reunion time of the year for Mobi. Almost all Mobiers from San Francisco, San Diego (just one ;)) and Minneapolis came to AA, the HQ, just to be together and talk. (They had meetings the day before.) Oh yea some of them brought "family" too =).

I heard that during the meeting, when Ben asked how many of them were in Mobi for less than 6 months, almost everyone raised the hand... seriously!

This is no-work day, so most of us just talked and ate food. But Ben, Sebastian and one iOS guy were working on fixing a bug uncovered in the iPad app newly released the day before. And guess what, it was due to a translation bug, and, it's in Chinese. Being the only Chinese among them, I got my first Mobi bug fixed (lol).

Yea so I actually talked to almost everyone. People were so nice, interesting, talkative, and positive, making me more eager to start work with them.

To be honest, I couldn't fall asleep last night, repetitively thinking about the lines to say when I should be asked to introduce myself. But no, we had small joyful personal chats, not any formal "announcement" or things like that.

The office was decorated with ... Android bots! Love them!

There is a whole white wall sketched with random notes and pics, seems like the fruit of brainstorming. But I was told later that it was for display, coz the iPhone sketch is just too fancy to be removed. lol!

So yes, the charity event. We were packing travel size wash up liquid bottles and toothbrushes for a hospital. It's "travel" size and the stuff were provided by a hotel, so kinda related to Mobi ;)

And we celebrated birthday for four of us~~~

So the space is really it. The photos almost show every corner of the main office. Moreover, there is one meeting room, one tiny library, and a kitchen with a table tennis table! Okie dokie... We played double for a while =P

I met two originally from Amazon and one from Apple, and they all enjoyed Mobi better. (I know... this doesn't mean big companies are no good.)

I was told there would also be a large table for iOS team soon. Yayy~

Oops, so many names to remember today!
