maybe they won't haggle the price, but instead you haggle that they will give you a warranty for 12 months or 12,000 miles for engine/transmission for example

it is completely legal to sell a car with NO warranty

which is a problem if your engine blows up the next day and you need to spend $3000 to repair it

advice is 1) understand what you are buying and 2) if they won't negotiate then just leave and go look at another car

if they start playing stupid games like "oh, I have to go talk to my manager" tell them "you have 5 minutes, i'm leaving in 5 minutes" and be prepared to walk out the door in 5 minutes

if you want to be hard-core ,then you can bring cash with you and show the manager that you have $8000 in cash (just be careful)

no car with 100k miles will have any warranty / guarantee
